Holders of the Baccalaureat General (School Certificate) are not normally eligible for direct entry onto our undergraduate courses without prior completion of a suitable foundation programme, such as one of our foundation pathways.
Speculation about the potential for AI to replace humans in the workplace has gone on for many years, but given its rapid development, it is understandable that concern is increasing. Voice-activated assistants such as Alexa and Siri can articulately answer questions in seconds. Facial recognition technology is used to secure phones, laptops and bank accounts.

The curriculum includes diverse AI areas like natural language processing, machine learning, and robotics. The programme equips students with expertise through engaging courses like Natural Language Processing, Reinforcement Learning, and AI Ethics, positioning them at the forefront of AI advancements. In this year you learn about theories of mind and techniques for generating intelligent behaviour. These include understanding human language and logic, techniques for game playing, expert systems for medical diagnosis, and many others. You experiment with the techniques by implementing them as computer programs. You also learn computer programming in Java – a language widely used in business and industry.
It introduces the students to the tools, techniques and body of knowledge involved in each stage of the project management lif… Depending on the programme of study, there may be extra costs which are not covered by tuition fees, which students will need to consider when planning their studies. Most of the lectures and lab based activities are in our Computer Science Building opened in 2016 after a £14 million re-development.

At the same time, it will help the students understand better the rationality behind the human intelligence. Powerful big data combined with intelligent machine learning will change how organisations function and how we use and experience services. If you’re ready to be part of this exciting digital transformation, our Artificial Intelligence postgraduate degree will equip you with in-demand knowledge and skills. https://www.metadialog.com/ The vast majority of web applications are connected to databases for the purpose of storing and retrieving information. On this module you will be introduced to relevant concepts and technologies, applying them to the development of such applications. You will gain knowledge and skills concerning data modelling (entity-relationship models) and relational database implementation and administration (using SQL).
This programme is newly designed to minimise module overlap, maximise employment relevancy and content recency; to consider knowledge/skill longevity and between-year continuity; to be free of legacy issues (existing course provision, staff). This module introduces the theory and practice of employing computers as the control and organisational centre of an electronic or mechanical system, and examines issues related to time critical systems. The module will cover a mixture of theoretical and practical topics in the area of the Internet of Things (IoT), that is, the use of Internet technologies to access and interact with objects in the physical world.

Work-based learning module placements are normally one day a week for either one or two terms depending on the number of credits available from the module. This course can be taken in sandwich mode, which means you can take a year to work in industry between your second and final years of study. It is the very best way of preparing you for successfully finding a job quickly when you graduate. You will have access to cutting edge facilities in The Diamond including virtual reality facilities, high-spec graphics PCs and a robot arena.
This module is concerned with the design and implementation of effective human-machine interaction and the technology underpinning contemporary robotics. The course has a multidisciplinary content spanning psychology, human factors, computer science and robotics. This module runs throughout the academic year, starting in Autumn and ending in Spring. In the first, important elements of computer architecture are covered including digital logic, computer arithmetic and instruction set architecture. The approach in the module is to show how the basic elements of a computer are constructed and combined to give sophisticated architectures that support accelerated performance via cache memory and pipelining. The second half of the module shows how computing devices can be connected into networks, and covers the principles of layered protocols, error detection/correction and reliable transmission over networks.
It will cover contemporary digital health topics such as precision medicine, diagnostics, medical imaging and drug discovery. With our Artificial Intelligence degree, you’ll build the skills you need to work in both the development and application of artificial intelligence. You will develop the technical and analytical skills to approach data science projects in a variety of fields, from business forecasting to digital healthcare.
This typically will involve reading journal articles and books, working on individual and group projects, undertaking preparing coursework assignments and presentations, and preparing for final assignments. Your independent learning is supported by a range of excellent facilities including online resources, the library and CANVAS, the online virtual learning platform. This programme will provide you with an excellent foundation for a broad spectrum of different careers, including the pursuit of further academic study such as a postgraduate degree or doctoral research. Offers will be made on the individual Diploma Course subject(s) and the career-related study qualification. Where there is a subject pre-requisite(s), applicants will be required to study the subject(s) at Higher Level in the Diploma course subject and/or take a specified unit in the career-related study qualification.
You can view more information about how each module is taught within our ‘What you will study’ section. For detailed information on the academic and English language requirements, please find your country in our directory. The University of Greenwich accepts a broad range of international ai engineering degree qualifications for admission to our courses. We are offering virtual events so that you can still experience how Greenwich could be the right university for you. There are a number of scholarships available to UK and International students to help fund their studies.

How long is an AI degree?
On the other hand, a university route typically involves pursuing a formal education in computer science, data science, or related fields. A bachelor's degree in these disciplines typically takes around three to four years to complete, during which students receive comprehensive training in AI and related subjects.
